Hi Theberbster, I’ve been reeding your tutorials (#7, #25 and #28), but I can’t realize how to patch the patcher 4, I open the Generic File Patcher by this route:
C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\data\Applications\Generic Patcher But then I don’t know where to find the patcher 4 Thanks in advance |

Hi Theberbster, I did what you suggested in the post #2, modified this with TDW_GenericPatcher_v_1_0_168_0:
Real nav menu.txt entries > needs to be enabled. New Game destroyed marks > needs to be enabled. After that I used the JSGME Mod Validator and then started a new career, but when I tried to open the stopwatch in the bunker I had the same problem. I don’t know what else to do. |

Hi tordillo
i would suggest replacing 7-5-0 with 7-4-2 and see how you get on with this. You will not need the 7-5-0 destroyed marks information. You will still see the destroyed marks in 7-4-2 I would suggest that you post your full mod list first. See my tutorial post #9 if you need to know how to do it. Peter

Hi Theberbster, I replaced 7-5-0 with 7-4-2 and applied the patch but when I started the new career I noticed that none of the tools (officers, deep controls, engine controls, compass, etc.) was there, I tried to open the stopwatch with the hotkey O but I had the same problem and I couldn't open the stopwatch.

Only use this mod if you downloaded sobers mega mod sobers TDWUserOptions for mega mod +Menu SH5 V13 If you downloaded the mods individually then do not use it. This mod does not allow you to replay a saved game. sobers dead is dead V3 NewUIs_TDC_7_5_0 SH5 sobers mod list is based on 7-5-0 not 7-4-2 You will also find with using sobers mods list it will very dark at nights so be warned. I think from your post that you have not installed 7-4-2 correctly. See my tutorial post #25 and check that you installed as per the tutorial If you are playing with German crew language then change this mod Speech fixes and additions (english version) To Speech fixes and additions (german version) Peter

Hi Theberbster, I tried to use the mod list of your post #35 (TheBerbster’s Alternatve Mod List 7-5-0 test version 18), but I had the same problem (I couldn’t open the stopwatch), then I relized that when I open the stopwatch and I press escape as if I were leaving the game and then I press scape again to go back, the stopwatch appears, but it has a half second delay.
Then I made another attempt reinstalling the game again, but this time I installed “The wolves of steel 1.02” with “Dragons_WoS_Addon_V1.2”, but it still has the same problems. |

You need to do some sort of test. The fact that you have changed interfaces and still have the same problem looks to me like a mod problem. 7-4-2- or 7-5-0 same problem. Create a mep file with your existing mod list. See my tutorial post #5 how to do this. http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=211804 After creating the mep file disable all the mods in JSGME that are behind OHII and start a new campaign with a new captains name. Load the game and then check if you can open the stopwatch by using one of the officer icons. Let’s see if this first test works. Peter

Disable all other mods except these 2 below NewUIs_TDC_7_4_2_ByTheDarkWraith OPEN HORIZONS II v2.5 Now run the JSGME Mod validator. See my tutorial post # 28 http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=211804 Look and see that it is telling you that the mods are correctly enabled. If ok. New captain name and new campaign again. Load the new game and see if the stopwatch now shows from the officer icon. Let’s see how we get on with this second test? Peter

Open the mod NewUIs_TDC_7_4_2_ByTheDarkWraith Can you see the data folder and 11 dll application files? If yes Disable the OHII mod in JSGME. New captain name and new campaign again. Load the new game and see if the stopwatch now shows from the officer icon. Let’s see if it works with just the 1 mod with this third test? Was the game installed from a dvd? Are you using TDW's Options File Editor Viewer? Do you have any other versions of TDW's NewUI's like 6-3-4 7-2-0 or 7-5-0 in your mods folder? Peter

I had used the JSGME mod validator as instructed and all the mods where correctly enabled. In the NewUIs_TDC_7_4_2_ByTheDarkWraith folder I can see the data folder and all the .dll files. The game wasn’t installed from the dvd, I downloaded it from Ubisoft. In my mods folder I have a few versions of NewUis, (7-1-0, 7-2-0, 7-4-2 and 7-5-0). I installed just the mod NewUIs_TDC_7_4_2_ByTheDarkWraith as you recommend in post #25 but it still has the same problem, so I guess this is the problematic mod. |

You did not answer this question > Are you using TDW's Options File Editor Viewer? Go to your mods folder and delete the mods below. 7-1-0 7-2-0 7-5-0 Are you using TDW's Generic File Patcher? This is not a general problem with any of TDW's NewUIs this is an isolated problem that you have. There is an answer and we are close to finding it so please answer all questions that I give you.
