My hour of pain lucky me run into a bit of bother mid atlantic heavy troop transport convoy got off a full salvo before being hunted down by a pack of the best damn destroyers ive ever seen.

Depth was at 220 running silent at 2 knots sprinting during depth attacks It ended badly

More depth charges how they get to be so accurate?

At this point things were going badly had to come out of silent running to patch up the holes

After being battered to a pulp by depth charges this rained down on me depth from above

Nice he calls them....nice

Those are hedgehogs, very bad for you....another set of great shots for on the desktop to remind you that escorts are bad!

btw an undamaged type IX boat can go deeper than 220 meters, I got a IXb down to 345 before it imploded, although I wouldn't recommend it, bad for the nerves....

The deepest I got with IXd2 /GWX/SH3Cmd was 288m before we started taking damage, at 240m the Escorts lost me fortunatly. Don't know how deep I could go before loosing the boat

press D and go ahead flank. in a IXb you can get at about 250 before taking damage (can be more) and if you keep going you COULD reach 350 - 400

I should have risked implosion they only got me in the end anyways when I went a bit deeper though I heard bulbs popping so I came back up to 220. Does the maximum depth change with water temp or speed??

If you use Sh3Commander it randomises the crush depth (within reasonable values). Then you'll never know how deep you can go.
