You should include a pregnant Vigidis by Edwards' side for the Iceland pic. And the sergeant should be smoking. Sorry just finished reading Red Storm again for the 4th time.

A few recent renderings done in Painter.

The late Elisabeth Sladen as Dr. Who Companion Sarah Jane Smith.

Grace Park as Battlestar Galactica's Sharon Valerii. I think she's starring in the rebooted Hawaii Five-O these days.

Out of curiosity, about how long does one of these portraits take? I'm guessing you're using a graphics tablet as well; true?

About five to six hours or so. Longer, if I start obsessively tweaking them to death. Yeah, they're drawn with a Wacom graphic tablet.

Man. Six hours with a graphics tablet, and I'm lucky to have something that would fit in on a kindergarten wall.

Do you/have you use/d traditional media as well?

Sadly, most of my old inks, paints, airbrush supplies and design markers live forgotten in a box in the closet. Too slow, too messy, too toxic. I did learn a lot from the years of traditional media though. And at least the pencils still get a healthy workout most days.

What tablet do you use Torplexed? Been meaning to get one for years rather than do everything with a mouse

A Wacom Intuos3 9"x12" tablet. However, I keep eyeing those newer Cintiq tablets that Wacom makes now, where you work directly on the screen. I'm still trying to justify the expense though.

I wanted to do something like that but I ran out of time and felt I had way too many RSR pictures...

Oh well here are some more I've colorized with photoshop:

Your composition is getting much better TLAM, just adding the colour and the odd tweak to your original sketches is bringing more life to them. Keep it up

Both were made in paint, first one is black mage from final fantasy, second one is Navi from Ocarina of Time. Each took about half an hour, the black mage took a little longer for obvious reasons.

I also have a slightly altered version of Black Mage which is below
