Sahara and Gobi are two words that translate to English as "desert". The Sahara desert is thus the desert desert. Thats pretty desert-y.

riding your 1-hump dromedary in the Sahara or your 2-hump Bactrian in the Gobi whilst munching dates could be considered desert-y just-desserts?

Gvprtskvni is an actual word. Any Georgian speaking to me will be met with "bless you!"

Before going with Blue Devils, Duke considered the nicknames Blue Eagles, Royal Blazes, Blue Warriors and Polar Bears.

In Los Angeles, the famed fossil depository The La Brea Tar Pits is a major tourist attraction; the Spanish word 'brea' in English is 'tar', and 'la' is the feminine form of the English word 'the', so The La Brea Tar Pits are really "The The Tar Tar Pits"...

...wonder if that goes well with fish and chips...

...and I'd tell you that the the mountain range The Grand Tetons translates into from Spanish, but, well, the moderators maybe watching...

The Tree of Ténéré was a vital navigational waypoint in the heart of the Sahara. It sat in isolation, hundreds of miles from any other tree, marking the route from Niger to Algeria until it was knocked down by a Libyan trucker in 1973.

Now that's marksmanship!

U mean from French U ol' bugger! I've actually quipped on that in PM and to an old college lady classmate who worked at USGS in Menlo Park. Both the Mountain Range and the National Park name are certainly not politically correct in the age of 'Big Tits Matter' ...and we are well past the age of Sacajawea's love-starved Fench fur-trapper hubby, Toussaint Charbonneau, who probably named those alluring white-capped lofty peaks...the name could be passably changed to Les Dècolletage Blancs though! But then I've been known to trap a little beaver myself from time to time!

You are right, it was French-named, but the word is the same in Spanish and, since I was dealing in Spanish translations...

...and now another quirky Spanish word: esposa, a word that means both "wife" and "handcuff"...

The number of digits in the number of digits in the number of digits in Graham's Number is too large to fit inside the Universe.

Next to Tree(3), Graham's number is indistinguishable from zero.
