I liked his balcony. The first thing that hit my eyes was the glass with beer. then I looked around on the pictures posted by Skybird.

It must be heaven sitting there enjoy a good beer/wine while watching the sunset(if it is possible)

It points exactly to the West.

Warm, gentle Septembre nights, perfect for reading outside and having a warm cacao. This week we have perfect weather over here. Maybe the last really great days of this year, weather- and temperature-wise.

Very nice, and the Feuerhand provides a gentle illumination

They are fantastic. Much brighter than 3-4 candles, if you adjust the wick so that they just do not flicker, and the flame burns about 2-2.5 cm high, they are brighter than a 25W oven lamp. And then that warm light! Campfire light.

Petroleum heaters burn the same way: very cozy, a completely different kind of warmth than from the heater of a central hot water heating or electric heating. There are qualitatively worlds in between. I have reported about it, about an emergency heater I have, if you remember.

In my elementary school days, we even had coal stoves at home. More work, but - we all miss the kind of warmth from them, this radiated to this day. You can't measure that with engineer'S methods, and it's not just a subjective mood. It actually feels different in a physical sense. Worlds better. Maybe infrared plays a role here.

The "lids" on the Feuerahnds are usually only meant as glare shields when you hold them while wandering around at night, not as reflectors. They do not reflect until they are lined on the inside with aluminum foil, for example. The anthracite lamp has such a lined screen that I attached to it, the red one does not. It only makes a difference when the lamp is placed on the table, it does not cast any shadow near the lamp body, that's all. The expenditure I would not make again, unless I used the lamp for night hiking.

We currently have sunny days and wamr nights, all week long. My balcony is paradise now. I sit outside deep into the night, reading a book. The current days are really absolutely special, I inhale every minute of them.

That looks very lovely. I am currently trying to get real grass to grow on some new lawns but it's all being undermined by the unseasonably early autumn (fall) which is covering everything with leaves

From last Sunday to this Monday we had here summer weather, day and night: temperatures well above 30 °, but the sun was laserbeaming no more, was milder. Blue clear sky until just now, eight days in a row, while in the vegetation there is already the announcement of the coming play of colors.

And me?

I spent an enchanted week, I got up contentedly, I spent the day contentedly, and I went to sleep contentedly. I did the few daily chores that I have to do and enjoyed the balcony, read, dozed, did some kwiggle tours for an hour (its my sports and exercising), and nothing else. Completely satisfied and unexcited.

A perfect week, you know? Perfect. Made by gods, to give man abundant gifts in a moment of limbo, just like that.

In fact, I am a bit stunned.

It sounds mundane, but really, this week was special, even though there was nothing special in it. For many years I have not felt such a long-lasting contentment and peacefulness - and that, although last Monday it started with a very slight accident, when I hit a parked car while turning. Someone was sitting in it. And it was a police commissioner. Well, it was all friendly and unexciting, and he also left the slight scratch as it was without any consequences.

It was an incredible week, as light as a breath, as beautiful as a sunbeam and as lighthearted as the flight of a swallow. A week like it has not been for many years. I am - grateful. Very.
