:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: XO: Oh really? Hey, why don't you do me a favor and go get yourself another perm and let the grown-ups talk. CO: For your information, my hair is naturally curly. XO: No it's not. CO: Yes it is. XO: That's a perm job all the way. CO: TOUCH IT. [XO touches CO's hair] Watch Officer: Hey! Why are you touching him? Jesus. You know something? You two deserve each other. Make nice. You two are partners.

It is kind of rising sunish maybe the IJN sailor would get filled with pride and forget that it was an american sub he was seeing until he got blown 200ft into the air along with a wall of water.
It is said that some brit artist was studying various colors for naval camouflage during WWII and he found that some hue of pink provided the least visibility but no self respecting sailor is going to sail on a pink warship.I think the hue was very odd though almost grey but still it was pink.We should really start a thread about camouflage we could talk about camo types and also post skins. |

I was in the Bismark sea mid 42 blasting this ship with my deckgun. Get an air contact and dive until it passes. Put the cam on the ship and dang if this P-38 didn't bomb and sink it....taking my kill. It was almost sunk.
Strange, next patrol same thing happens, except 4 B-24's attacked the ship I was blasting. Those suckers drop some bombs, about 30 hit the water at the same time and blew it out of the water. |

Saw the US air attack on Rabaul. Lasted on and off for two days. Got lot's of good SS's, but heres ....several, lol.
Going in for the kill... B-24's bomb's away. Wish I could have got all four in one shot. 40 bombs landing does some damage. Skimming the rooftops Er....rollever, lol. Going in again. Never did see him drop his bombs, but he made several strafing runs. P-38 had a bad day. One heck of an explosion. I guess these things explode bigger than average jap planes. It must have rolled over 100 after this and then did a final explosion. Still bouncing off buildings. Like this one with the jap looking at the wreck. IL2 eh?
Also, the altitude planes drop the bombs in this game should obliterate themselfs when the bombs detonate. Or atleast get some damage by the shockwave. The explosions in the game are way much smaller than they really are. The bombs planes drops in the game are 50kg and 200 kg for divebombers and fighters, 250 and 500 for bombers. |

well the game dosent accurately have a bomb delay for the aircraft.... the bombs act like a kind of debth charge hedgehog thing... They blow up on contact with a object like a sub, but go to a set debth and explode if they dont.

Shallow water, can't go under, but they eventually get blown to pieces.
Strange, I also noticed the planes attacking the stationary ground turrents, bomb and strafe them over and over. After a direct hit they would move to the next one. Course I haven't got close, but I wonder if they can actually be destroyed by planes...don't think so. Here's some good damage. |
