Thanks ! I've been able to put SH5 out of the x68 but unfortunately, the problem remains here... I can't even give you a screenshot of what's happening because it doesn't seem to appear on my screen when I screenshot. It's just like sh5 isn't executing properly (it never appears in the task manager, just a click on the screen and the intro shut down and as I said the patcher for the 1.2 doesn't find the game on my computer) so there might be a problem in the definition files but I have neither the patience and the competences to do so. I'm used to SH5 being very buggy but I have to say it's the first time I see smth like this with this game or every other game... |

So guys I think I've found the solution of the problem !
it's just a full-screen scale problem and you just have to check one thing : For those who have the same problem as me, just check the option on the screen below (sorry it's in french but you just have to do find the .exe-->properties-->compatibility-->3rd option in the parameters) Anyway thanks guys and see you (I hope for something other than problems ) |

CTD - it's not just a job

Yes, dependent upon OS, vid card, display monitor, etc., you might have to noodle with a few settings in that. My Win11 for SH4 (and SH3) looks like this:
I thought I had one of SH5, but it's apparently on the other computer... oh well |

Not to completely hijack the thread KM, but I am not certain what is going on with the differences between my browser (Vivaldi) on Win11 versus what it does on Win10. However, Edge displays the same strange behavior when it comes to attempting to link either images or web pages... Note the differences in the links above, where the first link is "automatic", while the 2nd one is what I "built", but I had to use Win10 to do it.. I am still hunting for the "why". Other than that, Win11 is fine, just as good as 10 which is just as good as 7. Only difference between them all is the type-face and the location of GUI elements and their intrusiveness, with each iteration being worse than the previous in that regard.

I play SH5 wos. Is that ok that AI still is totally stupid? Because I know IRAI is included to WOS. For example: I was near destroyer at night (less 1km) it noticed me late and just started circling around me. Then he accidentally bumped into me and only after turned on the lights and started shooting. Also if I submerged Destroyer in 30 mins just go away

had that DD been an expert, you and your valiant crew would be fish bait. (lol) in this instance, there is probably not much that you can vary/change/mod to make that particular DD more skillful, as it is probably part of the random level of the game. if you continually encounter "poor" or inept escorts, you might want to search the Mods forum here for a "harder" escorts mod. either way, good luck, Herr Kaleun.

Sub apparently glued to sea bed
In shallow waters I took a couple of shells while on the surface so I crash dived and then immediately set depth to Periscope Depth, but it sank down to 55m then stopped (depth under keel was another 6m). The sub stopped at an odd angle and after that wouldn't budge up or down, lots of things were broken (a few to 0%). My crew fixed the leaks and (somehow) repaired things like the Flak gun, but no repair progress seemed to happen to things like the main ballast pump.
Looking from the external camera, the sub was not actually touching anything but was stuck in place, I tried full forwards and backwards, hard left and right rudder, the sub seemed to slide a bit but this resulted in lots of damage and injuries. Also, when ever I attempted to use TC it just ended up causing a lot of damage even though the motors were stopped and nothing should have been happening. So with no way to unstick the sub, repair critical things, or even use TC to see if the repairs would eventually happen, I see no way forward with this career. I could reload an earlier save but it's still only the second patrol so probably not worth it, better to start again. I don't suppose there's such a thing as a console command to teleport the sub a few metres upwards? Seems daft being stuck at 55m depth.

ubi does not do a good job in communicating damage. there are a number of parts that can be damaged and destroyed that are NOT listed in the repair screen. when you experience this behaviour, your only course of action is to die with grace and then either re-load the mission and do better, or start a new career.

Sunken ships are not counted
Hey guys,
I sunk two ships on my patrol today and neither of them are counted as sunk. There is no symbol on the map and in the captains log the date is not portrayed correctly (can be seen in the screenshot). It would be great if someone explains to me how I can avoid this bug. |

Campaign Change Issues
Hey all, I'm using WoS I've just finished the Happy Times campaign; when I try to start the next campaign the two campaigns that I should be able to choose from have an X on them and I cannot select "start campaign". Will I need to follow the guide by editing my saves? It mentions losing objectives but does not seem to address the issue I am having. I believe I followed the guide to change campaign from TG to HT, but can't recall as this was about 2 years ago now. Thanks.

all knowing DD
Anyone still around that knows what to do against the all knowing DD ?
Every now and then after delivering a big alpha strike on a convoy 1 of the DD's will take up a 'fixed' position relative to my sub's and just keep following following me everywhere forever while maintaining that fixed spot. If they're far enough away I found out that surfacing 'out of sight' and going flank for an hour or two will get rid of it but right now I have one stalking me only a few K away and the weather isn't bad enough to lose visual on it. |
