...just been scanning through the type 2 web site and i am amazed at what you have done. my eleven year old son wants to have the new-look-type2 as soon as possible, so i have to ask the question here - is there a release date.
i have not been reading this thread so maybe the answer is within somewhere - apologies for my lazziness

congratulations on all your hard work!

Hi mate,

When i don't post it because i am involved in heavy modding!

Thing are coming along nicely and the new features will start to show in very soon.

One morning you could log in here and the party will begun.

I did so many new assets 3d models, textures, gameplay FX and that required a lot of time and effort to build so if i was to stop now taking the time to assemble pics or vids would be like wasting time so everything will be release at the same time when done the HAHD way of course.

Best regards Hans

We can wait.
Keep it steady Herr Witteman, and remember to take breaks!
I read that many people die from overworking

Love it Just an idea but why not use the HAHD sub for the pics on deck. Its not gonna ruin the surprise since its shown in other pictures already. Now if Hans can release one Pic of interior per week added to the "interior" menu that will make the Christmas run alot more pleasurable.

Default Update

Hi fellow shipmates,

First i want to thank all of our fantastic supporters here in the HAHD official mod thread, you are patient and real gentleman's regarding our work.

The next coming week will be quite exciting since many new features will start to show up some in the weekend and yes you heard the man right.

What begun as a modest typIIA overhaul is now a full fledged megamod that will offer player a whole new level of realism in the Silent hunter series that will give history lovers a playable museum, attention to detail is at a level never before seen in any simulators.

When you will have the mod on your desktop you won't believe the amount of content and new features included in U-BOOT_HAHD many features where said impossible to achieve but the HAHD team did it and you will soon see it with your own eyes.

You all know my recent venture regarding the SH4 porting but after lot of testing i can honestly say that SH3 was the way to go the feeling in SH3 is simply the best in my book.

Some major complaint regarding the water was pushing toward better shader models but after testing i can tell you that SH4 and SH5 mechanical jelly ocean is not fixable without the developers software.

What the point of having beautiful water that move and react so unrealistically! Later on i will prove my point with SH3, SH4 and SH5 water animation side by side on a video and you will quickly notice like an elephant in the living room which ocean move the best.

U-BOOT_HAHD will also have some Easter egg to discover and one will surprised many in it scale and complexity it will also be link to a special mission for non conventional U-BOOT operation.(Even the HAHD team have no idea on that feature).

So as you can see we are still working very hard to bring you the best possible gift a Kaleun could wish to have under the Christmas tree this year.(Santa Klaus was a Kaleun)

Hold on shipmates i know we didn't show too much new content in the recent month but this is about to change drastically i can guarantee some for this weekend.

Best regards Hans
