Neither
Or let's say it did make its way maybe through the channel or the mediterranean, i just don't know it. But it did not make the way by itself, and no one saw it.

No.
I said some three or so could be "stealth" missions, but only in a way that it used a moment of surprise, and the night. This is all so misleading , but i really answer correctly. Hint 1: We had this here before i think, but I did not find it. Hint 2: It did not do any "mission" in WWII. Hint 3: Maybe this was misleading, it was a german ship, but as almost all german ships it "somehow became english" later, and then again switched to other owners.

Even in WW1 you could hardly call this a combat mission, the ship was never intended for war, and it became soon clear that it was also not exactly known for positive "sea"-going properties either. Not that it saw much of the sea (hint, hint) @ d@rk51d3, as you already concluded not the »Krait«, and the ship in question has never been near Singapore.

We have a winner
YES! The »MV Liemba«, former »Graf Goetzen« it is! The life belt shows the letters "GOE" for Goetzen, and "KI" at the lower side for Kigoma. Still sailing over Lake Tanganjika after 108 years today, thanks to belgian and british efforts to refloat and repair it. When Tanzania became independent, the ship became property of the new nation, using it until today. I will keep this short since it can all be read in the 'net, not to mention books and films, one of it being "African Queen". The real queen was of course the Graf.. Built in 1913 as a merchant for the Tanganjika lake to do trade with english and belgian colonies, it was put together at the Meyer wharft Papenburg for a test, dismantled, and then transported in some 5000 boxes via ships to Daressalaam, then German East Africa. From there it was transported via train to Kigoma, the german harbour at the Tanganjika lake. Since England had declared war and the parts for the dock were not expected to get through, they put the ship together on a wooden frame, and then dug away the earth under it, opening it to the lake, and the ship finally swimming up. The captain and the engineers from Papenburg were not amused to find out that war broke out, also they were "a bit disenchanted" by the ship's "sea"going capabilities. It would roll in anything but calm weather due to the high center of gravity, and shallow draft. (because of this english engineers later mounted two bilge keels, and exchanged the old steam engines with Diesel ones). When England declared war it was at first not sure whether this would extend to the colonies, because initially there was a treaty that should keep the fighting off the colonies, main reason being not to show the locals that there colonial masters were not much better than their own tribes, going to war against each other. The only "combat" missions were to get back a small german steamer (»Adjutant«) that had been captured by England before, and another small english steamer sunk. The Graf Goetzen stealthily sailed to the hostile harbour by night, attached a rope to the english ship and towed it away, then sinking it. No one was wounded or killed. They tried to mount some of the sunk »SMS Koenigsberg« guns, fired three shots and the deck buckled. So they kept the guns' shields on the ship, gave the guns to Lettow-Vorbeck to be mounted on wheels, and mounted some painted palm tree trunks as "guns". Two smaller revolver cannons were left on the ship. Most photos of the "armed" »Graf« show it with the palm tree sticks. Being attacked by small boats like Mimi and Toutou (an incredible story itself getting those boats to the lake by Mr. Spicer-Simpson) and belgian 'Short admiralty' seaplanes it did not suffer damage; but when Lettow-Vorbeck had to withdraw he ordered the ship to be sunk, so it would not fall in enemy's hands. The Meyer wharft chief engineer throughly conservated and greased engines and valves, and opened the flood valves; intending to refloat it after the war. When the war was over Germany lost its colonies, and a belgian engineer tried to refloat the Goetzen, which promptly sank again twice, after storms. Finally in 1927 when England made the area its own colony, the ship was raised and out into service. Later it became property of the young independent nation of Tanzania, serving as a merchant between Ruanda and Burundi. It was repaired numerous times adnd is still afloat. The Meyer wharft even proposed to overhaul it thoroughly, but most of the money seems to have vanished in some local warlords' pockets. Lot more to be said but .. it's all on the web Over to Jim!

Yes, if memory serves me correctly I do believe we have had this before.
The hint about it being a boat but not seeing much of the sea led me in the right direction. Okay then, what is this?
