It's Sunday, July 15, 1985. Bob Hawke is the Australian Prime Minister. The top movie is Back to the Future. The top song is Madonna's Into the Groove.

The P-3 Orion, 'Striker 753' from 10 SQN, has been deployed to the bare base, RAAF Scherger, to conduct a fishery patrol or 'FISHEX' in the Torres Strait.

For the last two days, riots have broken out in the Papua New Guinean capital, Port Moresby, and towns on the peninsula east of the city. There have been reports of arson, looting and at least 40 people have been killed.

A combined Indonesian (TNI-AL) and Chinese (PLAN) naval task force, which had been conveniently transiting the Solomon Sea, has stationed itself off Alotau and has landed troops, under the pretense of protecting ethnic Chinese businesses in the area.

The Australian government has deployed HMAS Darwin and HMAS Tobruk from Cairns with 500 troops from 1 RAR's Ready Reaction Battalion embarked.

The Chinese and Indonesian governments have opposed the deployment, stating they have been invited by the mayors of Port Moresby and Alotau and that they "have the situation under control".

This mission requires you to begin with no weapons, only a BT buoy is important. It goes for a little more than 28 Hours and was made with RA 1.50.3

This mission works best with my RAAF 10 Sqn Cold War repaint, though you can use any livery, you'll just have the callsign, 'Striker 753'.

I also used 'Stewy's Harpoonevericks' Mod - but the mission can be done with regular Maverick Missiles as well.

INSTALLATION
Place all of the files in the 'Scenario' folder into your 'Scenario' folder in DW.

BUGS/ISSUES
For some reason, landing a second time seems to make the P-3 'bounce' on landing and crash. To mitigate this, you can fly low within 1 NM of Cairns Airport to refuel and 1NM of Cairns Harbour to rearm.
