1.) As far as I know, the Grid mod can work with most super mods as I have it in GWX, NYGM, WACS, & CCoM. I think some of them come with it already installed.

The issue of moving an original crew comes up from time to time.

This is the way to do it.

Go to;

C:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\GWX\data\cfg\Careers\Name of Kaleun

Pick the latest Crew_Career_XX from your old boat and open it in "Notepad".

Now Mark and copy all the contents in that file:

Go to your new career/boat and open the latest Crew_Career_xx file.

Mark the contents and paste the one you copied from from the other career.

Close file and save.

Go to SHIII Commander and open the new career and look into the "manage your crew" and you will see the crew you wanted to move.

Thats it.

Default Not sure if this is the right place to post it...

Hello,
I am using the SH3 Commander mod, it's 1940 and there is no option to "buy" better submarines, even though according the the "?" menu there should be better subs available at that point.
What could be the issue?

What month are you at in 1940 ? Iirc, a new sub isn't available until August at the earliest.

Hello, I would need assistance.

Is there a reason I cant seem to play with the 10th flotilla, cant turn it on in SH3 commander nor in game without it, its nowhere to be found. I don't know if its related but when I select the 12th flotilla in S3 commander and click on the info about it, under bases its says
Bases:
02.42 to 08.43 - Lorient
09.43 to 10.44 - Error!
11.44 to 05.45 - Error!
And when i try to play with the 12th flotilla starting year 1944, I get spawned in the South Atlantic south of Lagos.

I am running on GWX3 and turned off all mods except GWX Merged Campaign and Supplement to V16B1.

It sounds to me like you either have a botched installation or the remnants of a standalone mod still in your installation.

You could check that you have 'Rollback automatically after exiting SH3' enabled in the SH3Commander general settings.

Thank you, it seems the issue was in the en_menu.txt, I manage to overwrite it with something I shouldn't have.
I have to say installing mods for this is as fun as playing it.

I had something similar where my patrol began at the equator and I got a base error- I solved it by asking for a transfer at the end of the mission....

I do not feel the threat from depth charges, I think their range is too low, it is not necessary to pierce a solid hull to inflict damage. What do you think about this?

how to increase the radius of destruction by depth charges?

The easiest way is to just copy the depth charge files from stock into your install. Stock depth charges have a larger radius, etc.

The harder way is to use S3D to edit the values you desire.


Notes: - I think the modded charges are to weak too. One of those instances of putting in real world specs vs. gameplay one imo.
- the depth charge files are found in path <game install>data\library.

Because unless it is changed, they use the same sensors as the escorts. One size fits all, i.e.
