Soviet Stalingrad Class Battlecruiser v6.0
Hi,
This is a franken ship I made from peabody's Takao mod. All credits belong to him and the original makers of all the asses included in this mod. Stalingrad class battlecruiser's original role was for a light, fast ship intended to break up attacks by British fast-cruiser forces that might attempt bombardment of Russia's northern ports. In keeping with the battlecruiser design concept, they would have been able to outgun any ship with similar speed, or outrun anything more heavily armed. Armament: 3 x 3 : 305mm Main Batteries in A B, X format. 6 x 2 : 130mm Dual Purposes (2 fore, 2 aft and 3 on each side, will attack both aircrafts and ships) 3 x AA missile launcher 19 x 4 :25mm AA guns 10 x 4 : 45mm autocannon 6 x 2 : 20mm dual mount AA 8 Anti-ship Missile launchers with 40 missiles in reserve (use the sub torpedo system). Sensor consist of Air search radar, Surface search Radar capable of long range search, over 30km (turn off realistic sensor option in difficulty setting), radar warning, and Hydro. Ship visual capapble of detecting enemy vessels at 20km in clear weather. and batteries will engage enemy ships at 14km. It was the first large Soviet-built ships with a flush deck, and a raised bow to improve seaworthiness and durability in storm and typhoon; while it's radar gun director and automatic wave motion stabilizer enable the guns to be fired at ships in light and medium foggy, stomy condition. the ship's AA is more than enough to fend off attackers, while the speed is fast enough (42kts!!!) to evade enemy major task force to focus on huntting down convoys, even ones escorted with heavy cruisers. She is both heavily and lightly armed at the sametimes: having a lot of small caliber guns, several of them are dual purposes, while possessing light caliber but fast reload (310mm) guns compare to her counterparts, made her extremely excel at her primary role. Ship's armor is enough to withstand hits from 8 inches and smaller guns, typically on Heavy Cruiser and below. The ship's bow has to be reshaped and enlarged because the missile sistem took a lot of space and to increase sea worthiness as well as to accommodate more personnel, manning advance sensors and for fleet commanding officers. Change log: V4.5 - Major 3D rework of all parts of the ships, including main batteries, secondaries and AA. Change log: 5.3 -Reworked 3D -Re-arrange AA Battleship Kremlin Class V2: This is an oversized Stalingrad battlecruiser with the same AA and secondary Suit. V2 Update

V3 updated
Hi,
I've posted a V3 update of this mod at first post. fixed several issues, and 3d of some parts; added a modern internal from SS interceptor Mod. Also, during my corse of modding, I've experienced ceveral CTD which really hard to track down what went wrong. So I want to ask you guys if there is a crash log? Of which I can quickly identify and fix the error. It would be great help! Thanks, Thang |

Hi,
I've modifed the 3d a bit at the conning tower, as well as adding a working vertical missile launching silo at mid ship. The missiles launch will destroy enemy ships, however the kill isn't counted as yours. |

I've removed the torpedo and also the auto launching mechanism.
Now missile will be launch as regular torpedo and will be as players will, check out this videos I've posted an update at first post. Cheers! |

I tried this and installed it using the JSGME, I got it in the sim and selected a mission.
The ship appeared but partly submerged, I selected to surface the boat but nothing happened. It fired it's guns and the torpedo rockets worked, on selecting the speed it was going very slow, possibly because it was partly submerged I'm guessing. I used the 5.4 version, is that correct, any ideas please? forgot to add, I tried the Battleship Kreml as well but that didn't show. Col.

Hi,
This mod is designed for career mode and the ship itself does not have submarine function such as ballast tank pump that help in submerging or surfacing. Therefore you might have to start a new career where the ship is already surfaced or you might have the same problem as you have now. Sorry for the inconvenience. |

Great I got it working now, forgive my ignorance here but I notice when she turns the speed drops, the harder the turn the more dramatic the drop in speed.
Is this normal for a BB, I understand it isn't a DD and a lot bigger and heavier but I was under attack and more or less a sitting duck till the I got speed up again when going straight but I suffered a lot of damage during the turn. Other than that I love it. Col.
