Quick question on Solo Play + Bots
Is there a plan to introduce a Save Mission function for SP? It would be fantastic, too many times did real life get in my way, forcing me to simply cancel the mission !!! Cheers, Lost Last edited by Lost At Sea; 09-20-19 at 01:12 AM. |

Yes, and it adds tremendously to a game; meaning 2, 3, 4 guys can easily control their own sub, shadow and attack the convoy from all sides, and wreak havoc. In missions with 10 escorts and 30 merchants, at night, with flares raining down, it gets pretty intense.

Just read the e mail announcement about SP. Great News! I never play MP or Coop (don't know how and have terrible internet connection living in the boonies). Used to pretty much live here in my off hours but haven't fired up Silent Hunter in years. I think I'm going to pull the trigger and get back into things. Thanks.

It's not that kind of single player game. It's solo player supported by bots in a multiplay game. Multiplay being 1 player minimum. Disconnecting my network connection prevented starting the world (in version 0.18b; And I doubt the inclusion of bots in 0.19 changed that. Nothing mentioned in the changes anyway).

Im going to get wolfpack because of the single player option. I like to play multiplayer, but I think, like me, gamers will like an opportunity to test it out and get used to everything before they join MP groups. I also like the dedication and development by sincere sub-simmers. It seems like a labor of love

Wow, I haven’t been here for years ... literally.
I took a brief look when I first heard about Wolfpack, but made myself forget about it when I realized it was multiplayer only, because I don’t have any friends who would be at all into this kind of thing, and my limited experiences in any online multiplayer game with strangers have been uniformly unpleasant. Getting the email today that Wolfpack now supports single-player with bots for the rest of the stations was like the golden rays of dawn streaming forth after a long, dark night for my interest in submarines. I expect to buy this on Steam within the next couple of days. But in the meantime, a huge, huge thanks to the developers for making room in what just might be the ultimate U-boat sim for players like me! |

Really, single player operation was there from the beginning. It was just cumbersome to do everything yourself. Now you have 3 helping hands in your boat.
