Default Enjoying the demo - found a few interesting things

Recently got interested in this game, but with all the stories about the DRM, the lack of support, the non-functional website, no more support etc etc, I limited myself to trying demo. The latest version I found on the net wouldn't even start and installed their Stormpowered client, but I couldn't register or anything and was confronted with 404 websites etc. I tried 1.066 which lacked the store client and it seemed to work fine but would still hang at startup as it tried to contact a possibly non-existant server, got a bit board of the two missions though that aren't limited to 10 minutes but found a way to make my own - using the battle editor in the demo...????!!

This is the Jutland sub forum, but to clear things up for you I was talking about the the 1.066 demo for the Jutland game by Storm Eagle Studios, who are basically defunct now, I think their client still works now and again for people who have accounts.

Further digging into mission files could possibly add longevity to the demo. The 10 minute timers are located around offset 000023A4 in the mission RJBs, its obvious because that address is 0A in hex (i.e 10) in all the 10 min limited missions but 14 (20 in decimal) for the mission where you can play for 20 minutes. It is 00 for the two missions where you get unlimited time. If you change this to 00 it "might" remove the time limit from all the trial missions. You might also need basic knowledge of hex editing for this.

There is another flag, that appears to signify which game version a mission was made in. Changing it "might" allow you to play missions other people have created in the standard and pro versions, more on this later but offset 00000428 looks interesting.

Hi, I find both games (Jutland/DG) very interesting too, I just don't like the fact that the player is obliged to install and use their platform to play. Anyway, I would ask you, which software/editor do you use to open/edit the RJBs files. Thank you very much.
