This game is far more appealing to me than SH5. From the videos that I've seen, the flavor is much more what I'm looking for.

I agree totally... I find crew immersion a selling point and I'm hoping UBOOT fills that bill.
Dev's are finally starting to talk to us on Steam, Kickstarter AND Discord. Great news.... |

Yep. For me, the heavily modded SH3 game was just great fun and very immersive. SH4 lost some of the drama for me because it wasn't the U Boat war.......something about SH3 and the Atlantic.....the storms......trying to sink ships in huge waves. SH5 didn't grab me at all. I purchased it, played it for a few weeks, and went back to SH3.
So U Boot I'm looking forward to. Even the early video releases look good. Might it lean too much towards an arcade game? Possibly for the real sub simmers, but the modders here are the best on the planet, and I have no doubt that they'll make it a wonderful game. |
