I saw this documentary too. It was most interesting and features a patrol of french nuclear Attack submarine "La Perle". During the exercise they also managed to sink the british "Trenchant".
Definitely a great watch, factual without any silly patriotism and "we are the best" attitude (apart from the song the crew sang after the exercise ). I can remember a similar (very old) one which featured the "Le Redoutable" SSBN. |

It looks like it caught the Arleigh Burke doing something with the support vessel.

The main traget was the support ship, the cmdt of the La Perle fire first at the big ship then at the AB as an opportunity fire.
They catch the same Arleigh Burke few days after, they were at less than 500m from it without being detected and attack it virtually, there is also a scene where they track an English SSN (the Trenchant) and kill him because of a transient, they can't detect it but suspect he is near and when they get the bang of the trnasicnet they can localise it and Oscar Oscar Whisky In the docu we learn that the SNA was sunk some time and sunk other ship during the 3 weeks of the excercie.
