Default Gameplay problem: automatic time compression in open sea

Hello All,

for me currently the automatic time compression in open sea is the biggest gameplay problem. As long as "nothing happens" I just do not like it, but it's not really a problem.

But it makes for example tracking a hydrophone contact at night nearly impossible:
Normal reaction when getting a hydrophone contact at night would be surfacing the boat and running at flank speed towards the contact for some time before diving again to locate the contact and check the updated position. This would be repeated until visual contact is established.

Problem: Due to the automatic time compression, diving, listening and surfacing again (real time 10-20 minutes) takes something around 2-3h (not sure about the exact value) in game time. So much of the progress made by flank speed on the surface is lost during diving for listening.

I already created a thread in the Steam forum regarding this problem. As the amount of new topics is currently very high, it is not so easy to get the attention of the Devs. So if you are the same opinion, please support and post in the Steam forum:

Thank you and best regards.
