Newbie - Crew pictures at bottom of the screen?

Hi again,

Last question (so far) from me, so please have patience:

I recently found a SH5 video at youtube, and this player had small thumbnail photos of all the crew members at the bottom of his screen. I suppose this makes it easier to issue commands to them, so I would like to have it also. But how do I get it? I have looked through display options, but cannot find it. Is this one of the so called "mods" people talk about?
