CTDs when running RSRDC with TMO 2.0 Beta update
Previous post was;
"I've been using TMO 2,0 Beta and want to try RSRDC. I installed RSRDC TMO V502 and RSRDC Vxx Patch1. I installed TMO and first and then the two RSRDC mods. Game starts, I start a career out of Midway and get about 20nm away from base and game CTDs. Does this version of RSRDC work with TMO 2 beta? If it should, can someone offer some advice as to how to fix the CTDs? Thanks ' but I forgot to provide my MODs install; TMO 2.0 TMO_20_Beta_update TMO_Easier_AI Return for Creaks and Man the Deck(Flak) Gun EAXSoundsim_without_WebstersManuever_T 3000 Yard bearing Tool(1280x) RSRDC_TMO_V502 RSRDC_V5xx_Patch1 SCAF fror RSRDC v502 MaxOptics IV for TMO_2 |

Remove the SCAF mod, then see if it CTDs would be my guess. That messes with ship cfgs, right? A single typo (easy to do, trust me) would CTD every time.

My guess is that RSRD and the RSRD patch should be enabled right after TMO and the TMO BETA patch.I believe TMO instructions say so.Usually RSRD should be enabled after TMO but before other mods or it screws things up. PS you dont need the easier AI mod for TMO if running RSRD, the escorts in RSRD with TMO are usually pushovers, some dont even have active sonar. |

You might report your issue in the SCAF thread so he knows there is a problem.

Just looked at the SCAF mod page and there is a newer
version of the mod for RSRDC than I dl'd. I trust that was my problem. I've started using the 3D radar range mod anyway so I'll leave SCAF out for now |

Could someone with the know how fix the issue in RSRD where the Type A/B escort has no active sonar in Feb 1944! What should be a threat is barely a threat without active sonar. They listen and drop but always shallow and cant keep track of you, too much and really takes away from the game.Makes things far too easy.Major issue, could someone fix it? I say someone bc I never see lurker on here anymore but lurker if you are reading, could you help?

I know you are supposed to install most mods while in port but can you install RSRDC while in port in the middle of a career? Seems like it might cause problems with the sequence of missions or something.
I was messing with my mods and started a new campaign and forgot to enable RSRDC. So can I enable it while in port next time or should I wait for my entire campaign to be over? |

RSRDC is the career. It's entirely incompatible with any other careers you have.
It's not an "in port" mod, you have to start a new career entirely. |

That's what I thought. Thanks for clarifying. I knew something was wrong when I kept coming across singles and pairs of merchants about every 8 hours. I'll probably try to finish out my career in TMO campaign layer then re-enable RSRDC.

New to RSRDC, 5 patrols all to Bashi channel!!
Run latest rsrdc with TMO 2 Beta. I have played 5
patrols, 2 from Pearl and 3 from Australia. I started in Oct 42 and fifth patrol is May 43. Why have all of them sent me to Bashi? Something seems wrong but what? Any advice because if my 6th is back to Bashi I'll go back to TMO's campaign. |

Must be a bug, just head elsewhere.....wouldnt dump RSRD so quick as I once did, its got great historically accurate(mostly) traffic and in conjunction with TMO its great. |

I agree with bubblehead. I've played RSRD for a long time and never had several patrols to the same area. Also run it over TMO2. I also havent heard mention of anyone else with that problem, so I would look to your game being bugged. Could be a bad install. If you've run lots of different mod setups, could be residue left over. I assume your running the correct mods, list them to be sure.
As bubble said, RSRD is historical, you're gonna see less single merchants, but who wants those anyway. I've attacked 100's of historical convoys and done every battle in the war. You can either go to where the action is or chance the luck of a patrol zone. Many people miss what is coming through in the patrol zone because they leave after the star grays out. Hang around for awhile, many times something will come through. Just because your patrol star grays out, that may not match the actual time something is coming through, depends on where you got there, speed, ect. I use to think Patrol zones sucked with RSRD, but now finding lots of stuff because I stay in that area for several days when my patrol has ended. The only time I leave when it grays out is when the game itself sends me to another position. Here are my last 4 patrols with RSRD. Once you learn how to play with this mod, you'll be hooked. Overall, probably my favorite mod of all time. http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=175931 http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=175887 http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=175983 http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/t...5/m/7411023588 Last edited by Armistead; 10-15-10 at 07:50 PM. |

BTW, the Bashi channel was a fairly common RL patrol area.
