Can't get SH3 to run on Win 10.
Just installed it on a Win 10 comp using a DVD with Starforce. I removed Starforce (said it wasn't installed anyway). Did the patch to 1.4B. When I try and run it I get this message:
"This application can be launched with a release version of Microsoft Windows 95 OSR2.1/98/ME/Server 2003 only" So can someone tell me what I need to do? Thanks, Dep |

Sorry for double post. You can remove this thread. Still not working, though.

welcome back!
Deputy! No need to apologise; as a fellow septuagenarian (71)...just take another Aricept and "get on with it!"

4G PATCH FOR ANY ISSUES AFTER INSTALLING SH3.EXE WORKS
Recently I uninstalled and then reinstalled SH3 in Windows 10 and when I tried running it I had first a message about needing Windows 95, and then Norton decided the file was a threat and removed it! After looking this up on Google I came across a suggestion to apply the 4G patch, so I tried it, and it was the answer. You still have to apply the 4G patch to the .exe in the main directory even if you have HSIE's mod set to do that. Norton will ask one more time if that's what you want, so just say yes. This is all probably because Windows 10 really wants to run only 4G stuff.
