Default [REQ] Fixup of u-boat NCO's Caps!

I'm not one to moan too loud for a $10 mod and I really DO think it rocks but what posessed these guys to come up with this for a cap for a kriegsmarine NCO? I have in my collection a real NCO "Schirmutze" and I have attached it here for comparison. Can someone please help with a suitable texture change?

Default Awesome!

Modders' paradise with those pics. We'll probably have to replace the swastika with a Mickey Mouse silhouette or a smiley face. What was the symbol Charlie Chaplin used in "The Great Dictator?":hmm:

There you go! Might be a bit difficult to get it to work because it isn't symetrical like the swastika.

can someone give me an idiots list of things I have to do to do this?

I would imagine the first thing would be to extract the images from the .dat file, frig with it in paintshop pro, then import it back?

How do I import it back? Do I use what I used to extract it, ie. DatTexExtract from UBi?

You can use Pack3D or S3D to view the files.
P3D will extract them, not sure about S3D extracting the tga or DDS files.
Mod it then place it in the Textures\TNormal\tex folder.
No need to re-import.

Most people ask why GWX does not use this route.
Answer is simple.
All dats are loaded at game start, then extra textures.
If you dump all the textures in this tex folder, even SH4 would load faster.
The less we need to load at start up, the faster the load time.

dont replace the swastika! no no no no no. it really looks daft when you replace it. Keep it. You want the game to look as relaistic as possible then keep the swastika in the badges.
