Silent Hunter 4 Uboat Missions add on installation problem
I have Silent Hunter 4 Wolves of the Pacific installed on Drive "D" of my system. This is not a Steam installation. It was installed off of the original CD/DVD and patched to version 1.4.
It is version 1.4 and it runs perfectly and has for several years. Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit CoreI7 8700K 32GB DDR4 Ram Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080Ti I have the CD/DVD Silent Hunter - 4 U-Boat Missions. When I try to install it, the install shield goes through the motions. The set up asks me to choose the language. I choose English I then click Next Silent Hunter 4 Wolves of the Pacific - Install Shield Screen Appears with a pop up message that states ..... "The setup has detected that no version of Silent Hunter 4 Wolves of the Pacific is installed. This update requires that a previous version of the application be installed." At no time does it give me the option to "find/choose" where the Silent Hunter Wolves of the Pacific is installed. Any and All mods in JSGME were disabled prior to attempting the installation. How do I direct the installation of this addon to the installation location of my Silent Hunter 4 Wolves of the Pacific? I really hope I don't have to reinstall everything from jump street. Thanks

Nevermind
Installed fresh v1.0 from the CD to D drive. Ran the v1.5 CD and it found the v1.0 installation and installed.
Running v1.5. U-Boat stuff all there. Added JSGME again and enabled all my USN Submarine Aces mission and they all show up in single missions.

It might be that the U-Boat Missions could not recognize your original v1.4 install due to the game folder not being "clean". In other words, the updater may have seen files from old mods, or perhaps the Windows registry did not match what was in the folder. I have a download version of the U-Boat Missions Add-On, and when I attempt to use it, I have to contact Ubisoft for new "licensing" stuff (which equates to a new UConnect app ), so if your install will not "validate", you might have to contact Ubisoft tech support, and then wait and wait for them to get around to reading their email, and then replying to you... In the meantime though, "Sink 'em All!"... unless of course, you are with Doenitz, and then it is "Be More Aggressive!!!"...
