SCU and the older submarines...
I'm curious how differently the older submarines play in SCU?
I assume lower washout and cavitation speeds? Perhaps less maneuverability, more noise, and shorter range weapons? Any impressions? Is there a guide anywhere on how tactics should be changed for the various platforms? Btw. Does anyone know of a mid-cold war submarine sim/mod? It'd be interesting to try some 1950s or early 60s scenarios. |

SCX is pretty stock however does if I remember right emulate the increased noise for older generations, ie a skipjack is louder than the 688 and November is louder than akula.
there are no guides, most of the stuff is outdated you have to make allowences that SC was around many years ago I tended to play the Russian stuff but they do have short comings I cant recall if you could deploy the TA when commanding a November but if you could and could use it then theres no realism there as 627's didn't have TA that's an example
