SCXII Bug - Victor I Torp tubes
Does anyone else have issues with the pre-mission weapon load screen for the Victor I boats or issues with the Torp tube locations?
The game crashes if prior to mission start, I try to open the weapons load out for just this boat. I can start a mission fine but then I am stuck with the default load. Also, I noticed that two of the six tubes are mistakenly external. Perhaps that’s why the game crashes? I switched the Victor I .Bin file with the Victor II and it doesn’t crash, but then the weapon types are wrong. I would rather not do this anyway since I don’t know what all is changed in the .bin files. Is this a known bug and if so is there a fix? For clarification I am using the original SC (Clean Install, patch 1.08) and SCX from Bill’s site. Last edited by Adm. Ahab; 10-25-07 at 07:53 PM. |

Does anyone NOT have an issue with Victor I (i.e. correct torpedo tubes, load-out doesn’t crash game, etc.)?
It would be helpful if others test and verify that it works for them. |

I just tried it, and yes. I crashed to desktop. The other Victors had no problems though. Anybody else?

S.D.,
Thanks for the verification. I checked the Database and the Victor I and II both use the same tubes so the problem isn’t there. I think it is something in the binary file in the SC/bin/ directory as when I rename the Victor II to I it works, albeit with the wrong weapons, maybe more but that is all that I am aware of. I also looked through the error report and it said something about a missing jpeg that wasn't present at time of compile. Did you use the SCXII installer from the Subguru site? Maybe it is the installer. |

That’s what I thought.
I’ll bet something was missing when the installer was compiled. SCXII has been out a while, so it seems unlikely to be an old bug as someone would have noticed. Any idea who wrote the installer? If we let them know, maybe they can check it. |
