Sopwith Camel & Fokker DR.1 Coming to Rise of Flight
With the 1.008 patch, they'll be automatically added to the game. Their website store will then have them up for purchase. The patch is due out sometime next month.

So you don't pay for them if you have the game and you get the patch? WTF would you pay for them then? Or do you have to add the patch then buy them?

You get them with the patch, but they're only available for the AI. Then you can go to their website and purchase them, which then unlocks the plane so you can use it at your own leisure.

Yeh, maybe so. It didnt take long from the ETW community to open the special units that you had to get the special edition to play with. Same deal, the units were in the normal edition also, but they werent activated if you didnt have the special edition.

That's quite impossible. The account you use for the game also ties into the website. You buy the planes from there, the staff manually authenticates your purchase on the website, and they unlock them for you and allow you to fly- which then notes in their main website files that you've got access to such-and-such planes. They have to manually authenticate and unlock it, that's the keypoint here; otherwise, the file permissions are not unlocked so you cannot access the plane. If you tried modifying the core game's files to unlock them, their authentication process would detect it, send the data back to their site, and then lock you out of your account. Or the patching process would simply kick in and automatically delete the file and patch you back to the most recent version released.
The only hypothetical way you could "unlock" them is if you hacked their website and files somehow then manually unlocked the aircraft for yourself. But Neoqb's detection system would note an illegal access attempt long before you got anywhere near. They'd probably just ban your IP and account and report you to someone higher up. This is why you do not see any working versions of it available from torrent and warez sites. Because although you can download the basegame files, you cannot do anything else with it. You have no authentication keycode that you email to them so they can activate your game, no account on their website, nothing. |

Looks wonderful. Hadn't played it for awhile but I started it up today and noticed they've added the Sopwith Dolphin! Quite a surprise really. I'm very tempted to buy it!

If it's made by man, it can be cracked by man. The only reason for it not being cracked yet is it's rather unpopular genre. Be it some new hot-shot FPS it would've been cracked in matter of days. |
