Grandaddy of all MMP Subsims: Iron Wolves
Who remembers Iron Wolves? I was von Krieg, played off and on with single month subscriptions. Who else have we got from the old crew?

Red Ocktober Present And Ready For Action...
I was proud to represent the 'Lobsters' way back when, and i did so with reckless abandon, sinking many a helpless, and hapless manned 'Smurf' tanker... Then, after commandeering their beer supplies and pretty women, of course... bottom reports were solicited from all my unwilling victims for review and the obligatory friendly humiliation... Ohhhh, it will be great to be the scourge of the seven seas once again... if you missed it before, don't miss it this time around... --Mike Last edited by Mike 'Red Ocktober' Hense; 06-09-06 at 03:03 PM. |

I used to play too, back in 1996/1997 on the 10 day pass system they had. Can't remember for the life of me what name I went under.

Faint hope clause?
Flotsam here...just checking in. My son, jetsam, told me, the other night, that there were rumours of a new Iron Wolves. (it's the beginning of 2024) Anything to that? I believe Iron Wolves was the pinnacle of my gaming career. (Pathetic perhaps, but true enough ) Good to see some old names |

Hey Flotsam!
I am indeed working on an IW game. I started a thread (It's been 9 years) as a dev log. Trying not to let myself get too ambitious. I've gotten the databases, auth servers, gateway and world servers together, been working on game components and making sure that I've got good lag compensation and security. Still a long ways to go, especially when it comes to art...
Loved IW and the people, am happy to be giving it a go as a solo dev (currently).

OZ here. I’d love to see a version of this game again. I contacted the original programmer once after it was shutdown and he felt the original stuff was long gone.
