The support package is just to help the developers out and contains additional materials that do not affect the gameplay of the game in anyway. Plus the game is reduced at the moment with a nice 10% launch discount.
I'm going to buy the supporter pack as a thank you to devs for the care and attention they have shown in making everything so realistic and listening to and incorporating the community's feedback, hopefully the game will do really well and in time will receive a Pacific based sequel or interoperable sub sim element. Destroyer: The U-Boat Hunter - Supporter Pack The supporter pack contains a selection of goodies for Destroyer: The U-Boat Hunter, for all those who want to go the extra mile to support the developer of the game. Included now: The complete Destroyer soundtrack HD video collection with technical and historical background info In-game Destroyer skins 3D object art gallery Concept art gallery Will be added to the supporter pack soon: Art book / Strategy guide

Pretty standard "deluxe edition" stuff that many games will charge extra for. Destroyer isn't the first to do it and it won't be the last. It's not really that big a deal. It doesn't change the gameplay or the direction of the development at all, besides funding future features. Get over it. |

Two way street bud!
It's early access. That means beta, aka unfinished. If you don't know what early access involves, you should probably educate yourself before raging in a forum. |

@ Les Green
Negative Review by Ray Green on steam… POSTED: 28 SEPTEMBER don't even have a campaign developer response was get over it Is Halcyon a developer? Not as far as I’m aware, he lives on West Coast USA not in Poland where Iron Wolf Studio is located, so if Ray Green is you too, you should probably alter your Steam Review as it gives an unfair & untrue picture of the developers’ customer service There will be no extra charge for the campaign it is part of the roadmap for the game The most recent plans say the game will include… A procedurally generated campaign with more cutscenes , story elements and improved mission variety Icebergs and improved impact of environmental conditions on gameplay Improved friendly & enemy AI U Boats attacking escorts including your destroyer picking up survivors, ammo limits & technical failures on escorts U boats surfacing when critically damaged, ramming & picking up POWs Which all sounds pretty great to me, this is a small team developing a niche product who are passionate about the subject matter the more support we give them the more likely we are to get a sequel and possibly even an interoperable subsim in the future.

Actually, the whole supporter pack was introduced by the publisher and we didn't have that much say over it except for what sort of material we would be able to provide in a very short amount of time. The supporter pack is going to receive further content, such as a strategy guide and an in-depth interview with our ASW expert, so it's not complete yet.
In my view, it is nice that these things made their way into the game, and it is everybody's personal choice whether they wish to get a few more thematical extras (such as additional camo schemes for the Fletcher). It's purely optional and doesn't affect gameplay as such, so I in the end I think it's pretty fair. |

The Steam review is also misleading, because I was referring to his gripes about the support DLC, and not to the lack of a campaign. Honestly this user doesn't seem to understand what early access actually is, and is fine with spreading misinformation without any basis in fact, and even insulting other members by telling them to "blow him". Seriously man. Grow up. |
