Looking for Deckplans...Profiles
Hey all.....
Anybody know of a good resource for WWII Sub deckplans and crossections? Specifically I am looking for the internal arrangement of the S-18 class boats, but really have not even found good scematics of any sort. Im just trying to figure out how everyone fit inside those darn tin cans. LOL Thanks |

CJ,
When I hear S-Boats mention I think of this build by Mario Grima at Model Warships.com: http://www.modelshipgallery.com/gall.../mg-index.html Try contacting Mario to see if he has any suggestions for S-Boat data. I think he can be reached through the Iron Bottom Sound modeling site: http://ibs.eastcoastarmory.com/ Also try this site (Navsource) for S-Boat information. Scroll down to the S-Boat listings and you can get some specific information to indivual boats. http://www.navsource.org/archives/08/03idx.htm For example, here's a cut-a-way side image of an S-Boat taken from the SS-1 listing: Last edited by aurora-7; 07-11-08 at 10:46 AM. |

Try Taubman's Plans and check the plans section on the subcommittee website.

Floating Drydock is another source.
I have done business with both Taubmans and Floating Drydock. Both are reputable companies. |
