As far as I remember from my SB Gold days, the Gold edition does not need to get patched - it already is. Just one terrain map, I think needs to be added. but that flaw only becomes apparent when choosing that one special mission using it. And since there are already dozens of other missions...

Which game are you referring to? As far as I can remember there is no 'Gold' version of SH3. There is an SH4 Gold, and GWX3 mod is also called Gold.

SB Gold = Steel Beasts Gold?

Steel Beast Gold had a missing map which was added by a patch.
