Default Some really old modell plans.

Hi

I just thought i would share some old modell plans ive digged up here at home.

I bought them from an old fart in a hobby shop for some years ago and he couldnt remind him self how long he have had them in his possesion.

I guess the plans is from somewhere in the 50th century. Cuz all of them you have to build from scratch.
But there is also some small tip on them for what material they suggest to use and how to build parts.

Ive built one of the modell. The sardine submarine.
Made it up from wood structure and thin brass plates as hull that i welded toghter.
to bad i dont have any picture of it but it was a fully functional whit RC stearing as well.

First picture is the Sardine submarine.

Next up is a Destroyer called H.M.S Diamond and i did some research about this boat and found info on this site:

http://www.hmscavalier.org.uk/H22/

This plan is on 2 sheets:

1:

2:

Then i have a small plan of a Destroyer Hunter class II. H.M.S Wilton.
The drawing are on both side of the plan.

1:

2:

And the last one as an odd one. I assume its some kind of ship from early ww1 or even earlier. I cant find any info regarding this. But the plan is a real jewel.

Its some kind of hybrid of a submarine and a Hunter. it cant dive but it goes wery low in water and have 2 torpedoes on each side of top hull.

Funny thing in this plan also is that they suggest to build the conning tower from a gas lighter refill tube

The ship on the plan is called: H.M.S Midge.

Iam planning to build that H.M.S Midge just as an exhibiton modell.

ps: and if you wonder what that round thing is on some of the pictures bottom then its just a part of my cat scratchboard/toy.

Looks like she was a destroyer, from what I've found:

HMS Midge: Launched 22 May 1913. Jo
ined the 4th Flotilla on completion and served with the Grand Fleet on the outbreak of war. Summer 1916 she was at the Humber, moving to Portsmouth later and then in 1917 to Devonport. Sold for breaking in November 1921.
