KDB only work depth more than 27m..is it true?

Sobers mod enabled...and found when use KDB,,you can only hear sound over depth 27.....if above that,,for example,in periscope depth,you cant hear anything...

but the ai soundman wouldnot affect,,,he can report sound contact from periscope depth....

if use GHG,this wont happen..the player could hear sound from periscope depth too...

is it true in histroy?

Hydrophone range varies with depth. Also Beno's ear is better trained than old captain's ear. Some say that our SH5 captain was artillery officer before his application to Kriegsmarine...

Nah....I heard someone say that he used be in the Luftwaffe tuning up Messerschmitt 262 hair dryers before joining the Kriegsmarine and getting his first pair of earmuffs!

I thought Captain of Uboat is from fleet officer,,,,,artillery officer...
