It didn't surprise me Markus.
We've known in England for a long time that the English players are overrated and over paid, I just wish these footballers were any other nationality than English as they're a national embarrassment.

Another lacklustre performance from the team and once again it is down to the managers actions.

Gordon is brought on with two minutes remaining and immediately creates the best chance of the game.

The first choice midfield of Bellingham, Rice and Gallagher failed to create even one all game.

Ukraine v Belgium
Slovakia v Romania

The games tonight should be an interesting matchup, Ukraine are the only one who have to win their game as they have a -2 goal difference, every one else will qualify with a draw.
Belgium have been one of the most overrated teams in Europe for years, countless times they've had the better team but have been undone by so called inferior teams, will it happen tonight, I think not, their fans must be as fed up with these players as England are with theirs and the Belgium team will know it.
On paper this is a total mismatch but, don't forget the **** ups of the past, they might surprise us all by putting in a sterling performance, and god knows they really do need to redeem themselves, strikers especially and, that's why I'm going for such a convincing win.

I'm going to stick my neck on the block and predict a 3-1 or 3-0 win for Belgium.

Crikey, I must be bleeding nuts.

I presume that citizens in your country, like England, is both defending him or is against him, the head coach for the English football teams.

Here in Denmark there are those who is defending our head coach, while others are criticizing him.

It doesn't matter a damn if you're for or against Southgate, the FA don't do mid term tournament sackings as it ALWAYS shows weakness and panic.
It's a case of damned if he does and damned if he doesn't, if Southgate makes too many changes they might end up humiliated on the pitch, I've never rated him as a manager or a coach and yet those in the know "The FA" appointed him as England coach.
It's all Group Think you know, and that always turns into Group Stupid.

England backed to sack Gareth Southgate before R16 clash; Premier League legend tipped to take over on short notice

https://www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/foot...96dd22d6&ei=34

Who the hell writes this bleeding rubbish, they want that old dinosaur Southgate gone and, want to replace him with that even older dinosaur Harry Redknapp, I'll have a big barrel of what this currants on, I'd make enough money to buy that news rag just so I could fire the stupid pillock.

If I should ask 1000 British citizens who they would like to see as the head coach for the English national football team

I would most likely get 1000 different names.

Southgate have been the head coach since 2016 have it been a disaster in each World cup or Euro cup since then ?

I'm not defending him, since he is your head coach I'm merely trying to say that you should count all the success with the setbacks since 2016.

Foden has left the squad and returned home 'on family business'

That should get everyone's imagination working overtime.

3 things are official,

1 I don't know anything about football.
2 Belgium are nearly as useless as England.
3 Lukaku is an overweight lumbering carthorse.

After that performance none of the Belgium side deserve a pat on the back, what they do need though is a rocket up their backside, I have no idea how the coach will put a positive spin on this result, me thinks the media will be ripping the players and coach to shreds tomorrow, it'll be well deserved as well.

My dark horses Portugal are in action next, there'll be no predictions as I don't know anything about football but, one thing I do know is, Portugal will not be doing a Belgium or an England.

Only thing I ask myself is:

Will the guards do their job this time-Last time Portugal played, young men ran into the field to get a selfies with Ronaldo. 5 in total.

You are right Ukraine showed more energy and will to win.

Now who had predict this outcome Georgia - Portugal 2-0.

Means Georgia are in their first 1/8-final ever.

It was somehow a dirty play lots of Yellow cards to both team.

That was a cracking game, add a sprinkling of luck and you get the best game so far, the panic set in early for Portugal, you could see they were under pressure as they were under passing, over passing, misplaced passing, it was all there to see.
It was the same with Portugal's crosses, over hitting, under hitting, and then there's Ronaldo with his hands up in the air in frustration, it couldn't happen to a finer chap by the way.

A great performance from both teams and Georgia fully deserved the victory.

Georgias next opponent in the 1/8-final is Spain. I will not predict the outcome of said match. Only that Spain has to fight for it.

Switzerland - Italy is the first 1/8-final on Saturday afternoon-Italy haven't impressed me at all in this tournament. Switzerland have shown good play.

Second 1/8-final in the evening is Germany - Denmark. Denmark haven't impressed me at all. I expect Germany will win this one.
