If you find a download link for DropBox, the DropBox "company" will usually make it slightly difficult to actually "see" anything on the page, insinuating that you have to open an account. You only need to do that though if the link is set to "Private". Otherwise, there is usually a "Continue to download" or "Continue to file" or some other small-text typeset there that will close that "Register" dialog, and then let you "see" the actual download link.
