GWX is an outstanding work, all the megamods are; which megamod to use is personal preference. I'm not sure I'd say any one is easier or harder than the other.

AS John's noted... each megamod, comes down to... does it meet what the user's looking for. Be it being as real as possible, short of actually having been there (which in some areas... SH from 3 up to the last version SH5... has dropped the ball, there. Mods, help... but can't hit the 100% bell... but, it does help considerably.
)... to realistic damages as close as is possible... to anything in between... take your pick.
As the war scenario of your being a kaleun progresses, the escorts do get a bit more difficult. Early on, not so much... again, as pointed out by both John & Myself.
Main thing is... enjoy the ride. No matter which mod mix you decide to roll with... if you have the space & the time for it... give each a run through...
1 set of set ups, that I know is pretty good, is a GWX reworking, offered up by 1 Alex for 1... & ToyotaGT86. Both of which can be tracked down here on subsim.
These 2, are complete, unzip, decide where you want them to be located (mind you, make sure to NOT install inside of Program files (either one... files or files (x86 )
) & roll with them.
