I think what Obelix is suggesting is adding sliding curtains and nightlights to each bed, in order to increase crew's comfort.
I am not sure about the meaning of bednets though. Maybe he meant mosquito nets, or rather some kind of net used for containing personal stuff, like the ones often found in couchette/sleeping railroad cars
