An excellent "basics" video:





Things to note:

-Using an open flame to "anneal" photoetch. Heating the etch then allowing it to cool will result in "softer" bends.

-Using liquid glue and a stiff brush to add texture.

-Using PVA/white glue to add gauge lenses and "clear glass" effects. You can also cheat with this effect and make a "fisheye" type of lens that distorts the detail underneath. Not the most accurate way to do things, but if you have really sharp details below the glue, this is how you can show them off.

-How and when to build sub assemblies. Notice how the roll cage parts get fitted and glued together early in the build process, but do not get added to the main sub assembly until the end.
