Thanks for the answers. I'm perfectly fine with it, I was just wondering.
I'm in the habit of opening the doors while I'm getting to the firing point.
Every so often, though, there seems to be a longer delay between firing and hearing the "Torpedo in the water!", so a little reassurance that everything's working as expected is a good thing.
