I'm not sure if this has been mentioned or not, but is there any reason why a Polish freighter spawned right in the middle of Kiel in September of 1939? AI seems to register it as hostile, and the first thing I see when sailing out the U-boat hanger is gunfire from destroyers shooting at this thing.
