Again, just IMO, but those high-end controllers are great until they start to wear out or break.

I run a Logi(tech) 3d Extream Pro. Its cheap, you can find them everywhere, and once you learn some simple tricks they are VERY easy to rebuild. The build quality on the Logi controller isn't in the same league as the high-end stuff, but it's "the devil I know" and I've kept a pair of them running (in 2-3 year shifts) for the last 10+ years. This controller also needs a minimal (8" X 8") footprint on your PC desk. So, no worries about building an entire gaming seat in your living room.
