I just went ahead and did it myself.

Step 1. Copy <SH3 Base Folder>\data\
misc and ...\
menu folders so that you have backups.
Step 2. Unzip and toss the two folders into your ...\data\ directory. When asked to overwrite, say yes.
No more swastikas. If you want them back, copy the two folders you backed up back into your data directory and overwrite. p. simple, really.
