yep.
been there and been put-upon by an exploding tanker or merchie carrying ammo.

creeping up to fire @under 2000 yds and the target makes a last minute course change...towards you. so you stay with the setup and fire at extremely close range and your boat goes down as part of the explosion.

i have also seen cases of escorts detecting us in the middle of an attack and they speed to our location right through the middle of the convoy. you hit one of the ships, which could be a tanker or a freighter with ammo, and as the thing explodes the exploding/flaming debris lands on the escort and blows it to kingdom come.
this does not happen often enough, INHO.
