Click 'Create Campaign' and on the next screen hit 'Generate Campaign' and you can select your home port, year, etc
I recommend Kriegstanz & Kriegstanz Developer to create and play single missions.
Also Project Messerwetzer to avoid some Janus errors.
I don't think there are any patches you are missing other than be sure to install the Vickers mods in the correct order if you use them.
I'm not sure if they went for strict historical accuracy in the roster...... If so, a
GATO class wouldn't be available in Asiatic until approx 9 months after it is available from Pearl/Midway. That would make those ports unavailable for some classes until later in the War.
