In answer to the title question, about as realistic as romantic intimacy in a PC game, LOL!
But, I grew up around racing and even did a little when I was young. And I like cars. So I occasionally indulge.
I have a Fanatec wheel, pedals, and shifter. If you're going to sim race, Fanatec gear is good stuff, in my humble opinion.
