Destroyer Early Access has released on Steam
Hello everyone,
The long-awaited day has come and Destroyer is already available via Steam Early Access. I would like to thank everybody who contributed to our project by sharing their knowledge, expertise, and feedback, both from the demo, and from the closed beta as well. It has helped as a ton, and we hope to keep working closely with you in order to make Destroyer a worthy addition to every naval warfare fan's library.
With that in mind, please let us know about your latest impressions - we would really appreciate it if you could write a review on Steam too. I have already seen a couple of reviews posted by some of the most active subsimmers and we really can't thank you enough. There will be negative reviews as well, of course, and we welcome those with humility as we try to fix the most urgent issues. The reviews are also important because, apart from spreading the word about the game, these reviews will also be discussed with the publisher when deciding on further updates.
In general, the community has shown a lot of love and support for Destroyer and we are really moved by the overwhelmingly positive approach to our little game. In the next few days, we will be focusing on the most urgent fixes, such as widescreen display and improved display of video material (which has been a rare issue, but a game-breaking one nonetheless). As soon as we manage these, we will be improving depth charge mechanics, and adding a few cool functions to the DRT, if time permits.
We sincerely hope that you will enjoy playing Destroyer in the months leading up to the release of 1.0 with its campaign, and all the remaining goodies we have in store for you.
