So it was research, research, research time and I found we're both right. Every file has a samely structured file header as the first block of the file. This file header tells Windows what manner of beast it is working with and in the file header is a flag that tells Windows whether the exe can access more than 2 GB of memory.
The header is not part of Ubi's code. It is a common chunk of every exe program on the machine. That's why Jeff is right: it's attached to Ubi's code. That's why I'm right: you are NOT changing Ubi code at all and so are in the clear.
