I have just reinstalled the game after along break 4 or 5 years

, and went too install TWD generic file patcher which i think is a must, and i'm met with this.

"D:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\sh5.exe is different version than expected!

Patch: Independent engine controls
Change 2
Reason Bytes read does not equal bytes expected by patch
Bytes read: 000000000000000000000000000
Bytes expected: C3CCCCCCCCC3CCCCCCC3CCC

I have tried a couple of things Peter's fix above, and tried with Uplay disabled also antivirus stopped, sadly no luck. I have the disk version of the game, and patched to v1.2.

Hopefully some one will beable to get me sorted, and back in my U-Boat
