Late to get to base for re-arming for the Norway invasion.So on the way to Narvik encounter another slow convoy, 'heading' for Trondheim. Latch onto this convoy..
2 ships and 1 damaged on the first night, lag on the port aft quarter during the day time.
Moving in again at dusk, the escorts have left my quarter open so I move in at full speed.
Coming in submerged, flank speed as the escorts are ahead of me. Beaming in on the rear ships. The convoy is in a mess.
Aim at the nearest ship but over estimated the speed. (didn't bother with exactness
).
Missed it completely, but hit two ships beyond it.
Turn on 270 and head out asap.
