Keyboards are like girlfriends, once you get used to them they become hard to replace.

I found a nice "old man" keyboard from Azio with lit keys. They're cheap but the switches are good, the only downside is the key caps tend to be cheap and the paint wears off.

I never got used to mice, I always use a track ball. Logitech makes a fairly nice and cheap wireless one. They tend to last for a couple of years of daily use before the switches fail.
