I remember discovering the value of a history display in my Dangerous Waters days, and yet what we have in-game is much better than this screen, with its slow refresh, small diameter and wild jumps of the light bug, I guess it must have been difficult to distinguish overlapping contacts...



There is an article on Topwar (https://fr.topwar.ru/174019-rubikon-...a-mgk-400.html) that refers to paper recorders that allowed better detection than the screens, I suppose there would be a paper waterfall somewhere? But I never managed to find it on the photos.


The las rectangular display is very unclear to me. I think I've seen something similar in an active sonar station of a French museum ship but can't quite find it.


Edit: here's the French active sonar... It doesn'h have much in common.
