i think that TDW added his soan recognition in later version of his UI... till then the stock SH5 recognition was used...

this one for recognition manual ?? if yup and doesn't work let me know i may have some old recognition manuals for TDW's UI and i will upload them for u
about of the impossibility to end a patrol from a game save read your pm maybe will help... i know that helps for the tonnage bar... idk if helps in your problem i never had that problem... i cannot talk here about that fix it's agains the rules
